Is the MTA modem online?
NO? First power cycle the modem by removing the battery and power cable from the back of the MTA and check to make sure the coax connection is secure. If this does not bring the modem back online a work order is required from our technical support department.
YES? First check all receivers (phones) to make sure none of them are off the hook. Next you can start by power cycling the modem by removing the battery and removing the power cable for 10 seconds. When the modem recoverees test phone lines, if there is still no dial tone you want to bypass the phone outlets you are using by directly connecting your phone to the MTA modem by using the telephone ports in the back. Now if you still haven’t received dial tone a call will have to be made to our technical support department.
