Wave Launches New Cloud-based Business Phone System

Kirkland, WA – 12/2/15 – Wave Broadband today introduced Hosted Voice for business customers. The affordable, cloud-based phone system replaces legacy, installed PBX switches at a fraction of the cost, runs on Wave’s fiber internet backbone, and efficiently scales with businesses as they grow.

Hosted Voice gives businesses the benefits of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology – namely cost and scalability – by removing the burden of maintaining the physical pieces and management of traditional phone systems. Businesses can now benefit from Wave’s commercial-grade Internet and telecommunications systems with a low initial investment and easily expand, as needed. They simply pay a flat fee per phone per month, and as their business grows, they can add new users.

“For businesses, the promise of the cloud lies in making core processes both more efficient and affordable than before,” said Harold Zeitz, Wave President and COO. “As a cloud-based phone platform, Hosted Voice delivers on this promise and is a great addition to our already robust portfolio of commercial Internet and data services.”

Wave will be able to update the Hosted Voice system with new capabilities, as clients request them, without equipment upgrades or installations. Mobility functions will let customers connect their employees’ mobile devices and manage the administration of their system through a simplified web-based app.

“Our experience with Wave has been exceptional from our sales rep to the installation team and support techs,” said Mark Luster, President of the Lincoln Area (CA) Chamber of Commerce. “We are excited to have the new Hosted Voice system in place. And our installation was handled with care, guidance, and instruction which made the transition seamless.”
